About

Virginia Tech Foundation, Inc. (VTF) is a nonstock corporation established in 1948 for the sole purpose of managing Virginia Tech’s endowment and real estate portfolio.

VTF exists and operates as a separate, independent entity with its own officers and governing board — managing, investing, and distributing private resources to advance Virginia Tech’s mission and its strategic priorities.

Strategic Priorities

VTF shares two distinct priorities with Virginia Tech.

Virginia Tech Advantage

Virginia Tech Advantage embodies the University’s land-grant mission, bridging financial gaps for students, ensuring steady degree progress, and fostering holistic student success.

Virginia Tech Global Distinction

Virginia Tech Global Distinction expresses the commitment to institutional excellence across research, teaching, and engagement, making the University a destination for the best faculty, students, and partners from the Commonwealth of Virginia, the nation, and the world.
