The Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center (VTCRC) is a subsidiary of the Virginia Tech Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit corporation that serves the university by generating funding from private sources and aggressively managing its assets. The VTCRC has 38 buildings on 230+ acres of land with 1.2+ million square feet of space. The park is home to over 225 companies currently employing 3,500. The VTCRC has plans to construct 15 additional buildings.
The Grants and Contracts Manager is responsible for coordinating the development, administrative management, reporting, and closeout of grants and other programmatic investments made by the VTCRC. The Grants and Contracts Manager will ensure that the VTCRC’s related processes, documents, procedures, and implementation are executed professionally, efficiently, on schedule, and consistent with best practices. This position has access to confidential, proprietary, and sensitive information. The Grants and Contracts Manager will supervise the Project Specialist.
Experience in grant and contract administration. Demonstrated ability to interpret and implement complex regulations, procedures, and compliance standards and experience working in a complex regulatory environment. Demonstrated experience in budget development and proven ability to prioritize and manage large volumes of work to anticipate and meet deadlines. A solid commitment to customer service. Excellent written/oral communication and organizational skills. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or other related fields. At least two years of relevant grant administration experience is required.
