Virginia Tech Research Center - Arlington

900 North Glebe Road, Arlington, VA 22203

The Virginia Tech Research Center – Arlington is a highly visible, state-of-the-art facility located in the vibrant Ballston district of Arlington, Virginia. The center was built to address Virginia Tech's mission to expand its research portfolio in the National Capital Region. The location offers great opportunity for partnerships with corporate research entities and is close to government agencies and other public and private-sector organizations.

The exterior of the building, features retail space, exhibits, an outdoor terrace restaurant, and abundant green space. The interior includes computational laboratories, offices, and a conference center to accommodate meetings, forums, symposia, and other events. The research center contains approximately 144,000 square feet of leasable space contained in seven-stories with approximately 11,000 square feet of retail space on the first floor and just over 132,000 square feet of office space on floors two through seven with a 3-level parking garage with 247 parking spaces located directly below the building.

The second floor conference center is available to the science and technology communities throughout the region for meetings and events not specifically related to the university. The third, fourth and fifth floors are leased to the university and a number of already established Virginia Tech research centers and institutes, located throughout the northern Virginia area, have moved to the new facility. The sixth and seventh floors are leased to private tenants, however the expectation is that over time the university will grow into these other floors as its needs dictate.
